For the children of Gaza

Saving lives starts now

Children in the Gaza Strip

As ordinary individuals, we refrain from judging the rights and wrongs of war. However, the children born into the strife of Gaza possess lives no less vivid and sacred than any other. Though they had no say in their birth, the rights to existence, safety, and compassion are theirs from the first breath.
Where once these children might have regarded the world with hopeful eyes, they now confront a vision of “a world that has fallen sick.”
Now, our volunteers will raise their lenses to bear witness to the silent despair and helplessness reflected in the eyes of Gaza’s children, sharing their authentic stories with the world.

Famine is killing children in Gaza. For over two years now, families have been terrorized by bombs, bullets, hunger and disease – with over 50,000 children killed or injured. And now the crisis is worse than ever. Families struggle to protect their little ones as famine leaves thousands hungry, frail, and fighting to survive.

Around 5,000 children now face severe acute malnutrition – bodies so weakened they are 11 times more likely to die than a healthy child. Every child under five – 320,000 children – is at risk. Waiting rooms are overflowing with frail toddlers and babies, and the number treated for malnutrition has nearly tripled this year.

For more than two years, the TOHELPCHILD volunteer team has been working in Gaza. We leverage the diverse professional backgrounds of our volunteers to deliver aid supplies and medical personnel to children in need through various discreet methods. The situation here is dire, with families living amidst rubble, struggling to find even a sip of clean water and with little to no food or medical care . In the face of this ongoing man-made humanitarian crisis , we call upon the world: please, do something for these children. They deserve a gleam of hope

Malnutrition among children in Gaza is accelerating at a catastrophic pace. In July alone, more than 12,000 children were identified as acutely malnourished – the highest monthly figure ever recorded and a six-fold increase since the start of the year. Nearly one in four of these children were suffering from severe acute malnutrition (SAM), the deadliest form with both short and long-term impacts.

Since the last IPC Analysis in May, the number of children expected to be at severe risk of death from malnutrition by the end of June 2026 has tripled from 14,100 to 43,400. Similarly, for pregnant and breastfeeding women, the number of estimated cases has tripled from 17,000 in May to 55,000 women expected to be suffering from perilous levels of malnutrition by mid-2026. The impact is visible: one in five babies are born prematurely or underweight.

A childhood stolen by fear, loss, hunger, and death.
